1Information and local processing

Golden Night does not operate user accounts, analytics, advertising, tracking SDKs, or a developer-operated backend. When enabled, the extension processes page style values and selected DOM metadata locally to apply dark mode. It does not send webpage content or extension settings to the developer. It does not collect personal information, browsing history, precise location, or device identifiers for developer-operated services.

Some metadata is stored locally only when you choose a website preference or manually select a page area. The details of those local records and the limited icon-image requests are explained below.

2Data stored on your device

Chrome's chrome.storage.local may hold whether the extension is enabled, your interface language, the confirmation preference, per-site choices, and the last requested state and temporary restart metadata for the optional Chrome built-in dark-mode helper. Site choices may use a hostname, domain, or origin so the preference can be matched to the intended site.

If you manually choose a region to darken, the extension stores local locator data to find that area again. Depending on the page, this can include the element type, ID, stable class names, selected attributes such as aria-label, name, title or test identifiers, parent-element information, alternative CSS selectors, and a hash derived from up to 240 characters of the element's text. The raw text snippet is not stored as part of that hash, but attribute values such as labels or titles may themselves contain text. These locator records stay in extension storage and are not sent to the developer.

The extension's preferences are stored locally in your Chrome profile and are normally removed when you uninstall the extension. Separately, this privacy page remembers your chosen display language in this website's browser localStorage; that preference is not part of the extension's storage.

3What the extension does on web pages

When enabled and permitted by Chrome, Golden Night examines rendered CSS colours and style values, DOM structure, borders, gradients, shadows, SVG/CSS icon paints, and relevant pseudo-elements. It darkens light CSS surfaces across different hues and adjusts foreground colours where needed for readability. It generally leaves photographs, video frames, and other artwork intact, although some small images or CSS/SVG elements classified as monochrome icons may be adjusted.

The content script is declared for all website URLs and frames that Chrome permits. It does not send page contents, form-field values, passwords, or cookies to the developer. A manually selected region may use a short local text hash and selected identifying attributes to restore the selection on later visits; see section 2. Chrome internal or restricted pages may not allow the extension to run.

4Network requests and third parties

For some icon image resources already referenced by a page, including resources used by CSS icons or sprites, Golden Night first attempts a browser CORS request without cookies or other credentials. If that request is blocked by CORS or otherwise fails, it may try the same resource through the extension service worker. These requests are used only to classify monochrome icons, not to upload page content to the developer. The browser request follows normal CORS and redirect rules, is limited to about 2.5 seconds, and caps the downloaded resource at 3 MB. The service-worker fallback rejects redirects, blocks local and private-network hosts, requires an image-like response, also caps downloads at 3 MB, and times out after about five seconds.

The requested image URL and ordinary connection information, such as your IP address, may be visible to the host serving that image. Depending on the browser and the page's referrer policy, the initial browser request may also disclose the page's origin or referrer. The image is processed locally in the same tab; Golden Night does not save a separate copy in extension storage. Chrome may still apply its normal HTTP cache behaviour. Golden Night does not transmit the image, page content, or saved settings to a developer-controlled server.

The extension does not download or execute remotely hosted executable code. Its executable code is included in the extension package. The privacy page itself does not use analytics or advertising cookies.

5Permissions explained

• storage — saves the extension's preferences, site choices, manual region locator data, and the last requested state of the optional Chrome flag helper.
• Host access declared as <all_urls> — lets the content script work across websites you visit and supports the limited image-resource requests described in section 4. Chrome's own restrictions on internal and protected pages still apply.

The current manifest requests the storage permission and declares broad host access. It does not request separate scripting, tabs, cookies, history, or downloads permissions. The page content script is declared in the manifest rather than injected using a separate scripting permission.

The “Enable Chrome's own dark mode” button only opens chrome://flags/#enable-force-dark so you can inspect and change Chrome's setting yourself. It does not change the flag directly. Chrome does not expose the actual flag value through the extension API, so the extension can only remember the last requested change, not verify the current setting.

6Sharing and selling data

Golden Night does not sell personal data or send webpage content or extension settings to the developer. It has no analytics, advertising, tracking service, or developer-operated backend. The only network activity described here is the limited request for some page-referenced icon images in section 4; the host serving an image may observe ordinary request and connection metadata.

Golden Night's collection, use, and transfer of user data are limited to what is necessary for its disclosed single purpose and related user-facing features, consistent with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. User data is not sold or used for personalised advertising, and Golden Night does not provide user data to people for manual review.

7Children's privacy

Golden Night does not require an account or ask users to submit personal information, and it does not knowingly collect personal information from children. On-device preferences and the limited image-request behaviour described in this policy apply regardless of the user's age.

8Changes to this policy

If the extension's data practices change, this page will be updated to describe the revised behaviour and show a new update date.

۲داده‌های ذخیره‌شده روی دستگاه

حافظهٔ chrome.storage.local کروم ممکن است وضعیت روشن یا خاموش بودن افزونه، زبان رابط، ترجیح تأیید پیش از فعال‌سازی، انتخاب‌های اختصاصی سایت‌ها و آخرین وضعیت درخواستی و اطلاعات موقت راه‌اندازی مجدد برای راهنمای اختیاری دارک‌مود داخلی کروم را نگه دارد. انتخاب‌های سایت ممکن است شامل نام میزبان، دامنه یا مبدأ باشند تا ترجیح برای سایت موردنظر پیدا شود.

ترجیحات افزونه به‌صورت محلی در نمایهٔ کروم ذخیره می‌شوند و معمولاً با حذف افزونه پاک می‌شوند. جدا از آن، همین صفحهٔ حریم خصوصی زبان نمایشی انتخاب‌شده را در localStorage مرورگر برای این وب‌سایت به خاطر می‌سپارد؛ این ترجیح بخشی از حافظهٔ افزونه نیست.

۳افزونه روی صفحات وب چه می‌کند؟

هنگام فعال‌بودن و در محدوده‌ای که کروم اجازه می‌دهد، شب طلایی رنگ‌ها و استایل‌های محاسبه‌شدهٔ CSS، ساختار DOM، حاشیه‌ها، گرادیان‌ها، سایه‌ها، رنگ آیکون‌های SVG/CSS و شبه‌عناصر مرتبط را بررسی می‌کند. پس‌زمینه‌های CSS روشن را در طیف‌های رنگی مختلف تیره می‌کند و در صورت نیاز رنگ پیش‌زمینه را برای خوانایی تغییر می‌دهد. معمولاً عکس‌ها، فریم‌های ویدیو و آثار تصویری را دست‌نخورده می‌گذارد؛ بااین‌حال ممکن است بعضی تصویرهای کوچک یا عناصر CSS/SVG که آیکون تک‌رنگ تشخیص داده می‌شوند تغییر کنند.

اسکریپت محتوای افزونه در مانیفست برای همهٔ نشانی‌های وب و فریم‌هایی که کروم اجازه می‌دهد تعریف شده است. محتوای صفحه، مقدار فیلدهای فرم، گذرواژه‌ها یا کوکی‌ها برای سازنده ارسال نمی‌شوند. ناحیه‌ای که دستی انتخاب شده ممکن است از هش کوتاهی از متن محلی و برخی ویژگی‌های شناسایی‌کننده برای بازیابی انتخاب در بازدیدهای بعدی استفاده کند؛ بخش ۲ را ببینید. بعضی صفحات داخلی یا محافظت‌شدهٔ کروم اجازهٔ اجرای افزونه را نمی‌دهند.

۴درخواست‌های شبکه و اشخاص ثالث

برای برخی منابع تصویری آیکون که صفحه از قبل به آن‌ها ارجاع می‌دهد، از جمله منابع آیکون یا sprite در CSS، شب طلایی ابتدا یک درخواست CORS معمول مرورگر را بدون کوکی یا اطلاعات احراز هویت امتحان می‌کند. اگر این درخواست به‌دلیل CORS یا علت دیگری ناموفق باشد، ممکن است همان منبع را از طریق سرویس‌ورکر افزونه دوباره درخواست کند. این درخواست‌ها فقط برای تشخیص آیکون‌های تک‌رنگ هستند و محتوای صفحه را برای سازنده بارگذاری نمی‌کنند. درخواست نخست از قواعد عادی CORS و تغییرمسیر مرورگر پیروی می‌کند، حدود ۲٫۵ ثانیه محدودیت زمانی دارد و حجم دریافت را به ۳ مگابایت محدود می‌کند. تلاش جایگزین از طریق سرویس‌ورکر تغییرمسیرها را رد می‌کند، میزبان‌های محلی و شبکه‌های خصوصی را مسدود می‌کند، پاسخ تصویری را می‌طلبد، حجم دریافت را به ۳ مگابایت محدود می‌کند و پس از حدود پنج ثانیه متوقف می‌شود.

نشانی تصویر درخواستی و اطلاعات معمول اتصال، مانند نشانی IP شما، ممکن است برای میزبان تصویر قابل مشاهده باشد. بسته به مرورگر و سیاست ارجاع‌دهندهٔ صفحه، درخواست نخست مرورگر ممکن است مبدأ یا اطلاعات ارجاع‌دهندهٔ صفحه را نیز آشکار کند. تصویر به‌صورت محلی در همان تب پردازش می‌شود و شب طلایی نسخهٔ جداگانه‌ای از آن را در حافظهٔ افزونه ذخیره نمی‌کند. کروم ممکن است همچنان از کش معمول HTTP خود استفاده کند. شب طلایی تصویر، محتوای صفحه یا تنظیمات ذخیره‌شده را برای سرور تحت مدیریت سازنده ارسال نمی‌کند.

افزونه کد اجرایی میزبانی‌شده در سرورهای دوردست را دانلود یا اجرا نمی‌کند؛ کد اجرایی داخل بستهٔ افزونه قرار دارد. خودِ صفحهٔ سیاست حریم خصوصی نیز از کوکی تبلیغاتی یا ابزار تحلیل‌گر استفاده نمی‌کند.

۵توضیح مجوزها

• storage — برای ذخیرهٔ ترجیحات افزونه، انتخاب‌های سایت، دادهٔ مکانیاب ناحیه‌های دستی و آخرین وضعیت درخواستیِ راهنمای فلگ کروم.
• دسترسی میزبان با مقدار <all_urls> — به اسکریپت محتوای افزونه امکان می‌دهد روی وب‌سایت‌هایی که باز می‌کنید کار کند و درخواست‌های محدود تصویر که در بخش ۴ توضیح داده شد انجام شوند. محدودیت‌های کروم برای صفحات داخلی و محافظت‌شده همچنان برقرارند.

مانیفست فعلی مجوز storage را درخواست می‌کند و دسترسی گستردهٔ میزبان را تعریف می‌کند. مجوزهای جداگانهٔ scripting، tabs، cookies، history یا downloads درخواست نشده‌اند. اسکریپت محتوای صفحه در خود مانیفست تعریف شده و برای تزریق به مجوز جداگانهٔ scripting متکی نیست.

دکمهٔ «فعال‌سازی دارک‌مود خود کروم» فقط صفحهٔ chrome://flags/#enable-force-dark را باز می‌کند تا خودتان تنظیم کروم را بررسی و تغییر دهید. این دکمه فلگ را مستقیماً تغییر نمی‌دهد. کروم مقدار واقعی این فلگ را از طریق API افزونه‌ها در اختیار افزونه نمی‌گذارد؛ بنابراین افزونه فقط آخرین تغییر درخواستی را به خاطر می‌سپارد و نمی‌تواند تنظیم واقعی را تأیید کند.

۶اشتراک‌گذاری و فروش داده

شب طلایی دادهٔ شخصی را نمی‌فروشد و محتوای صفحه یا تنظیمات افزونه را برای سازنده ارسال نمی‌کند. این افزونه ابزار تحلیل‌گر، تبلیغات، سرویس ردیابی یا سرور پشتیبان تحت مدیریت سازنده ندارد. تنها فعالیت شبکه‌ای که در این سیاست توضیح داده شده، درخواست محدود برخی تصاویر آیکونِ ارجاع‌شده در صفحه است؛ میزبان ارائه‌دهندهٔ تصویر ممکن است فرادادهٔ معمول درخواست و اتصال را مشاهده کند.

جمع‌آوری، استفاده و انتقال داده در شب طلایی به موارد ضروری برای هدف واحد اعلام‌شده و قابلیت‌های قابل‌استفادهٔ افزونه محدود است و با سیاست دادهٔ کاربر فروشگاه وب کروم، از جمله الزامات «استفادهٔ محدود» (Limited Use)، مطابقت دارد. دادهٔ کاربر فروخته نمی‌شود یا برای تبلیغات شخصی‌سازی‌شده استفاده نمی‌شود و شب طلایی آن را برای بررسی دستی در اختیار افراد قرار نمی‌دهد.

۷حریم خصوصی کودکان

شب طلایی به حساب کاربری نیاز ندارد و از کاربران نمی‌خواهد اطلاعات شخصی وارد کنند؛ همچنین آگاهانه اطلاعات شخصی کودکان را جمع‌آوری نمی‌کند. ذخیره‌سازی ترجیحات روی دستگاه و رفتار درخواست تصویر که در این سیاست توضیح داده شد، مستقل از سن کاربر است.

۸تغییرات این سیاست

اگر رویه‌های افزونه در زمینهٔ داده‌ها تغییر کند، این صفحه برای توصیف رفتار جدید به‌روزرسانی می‌شود و تاریخ تازه‌ای خواهد داشت.
